#4: Local Groups

GCN already has local groups all over the world. Registered members can visit the "groups" section of their control panel to see all the available groups they can join.

Right now, the only way to get connected with a local group is to register an account, go through several steps on the website, and then watch the local group forum for details on upcoming events. Although this method has enabled a lot of initial group growth, it leaves much to be desired.

In the future, we want members to be able to easily find their local group, receive local event notifications by e-mail, and have multiple ways of staying connected, even without logging into our website.

We also want to help the groups themselves to grow. We want to launch advertising campaigns to promote GCN in each region, connecting the campaign with upcoming local events, and helping non-members to find out about what's happening near them.

In addition, we are planning special resources for local groups, like Bible study materials, event planning guides, and more. This will make it easier to start new groups and help them flourish.
